Whats so different about Canada?

Brake life is affected by use first of all, and there is nothing we can do that will affect that, but it is also affected significantly by heat in the drum and there is something that can be done about that.  As you're aware brake life is lowered by heat, but you may not realize by how much.

Studies by a leading brake manufacturer show that a 100 degree increaseabove normal operating temperatures doubles brake wear.  If that wasn't enough of a problem, the heat generated by brakes damages everything that surrounds them, causing problems ranging from brake squeal to blown tires.
