Phase I Testing -
Bar Graph
As the graph on the left indicates the wheel without DrumTurbines
would reach temperatures above 250 degrees and flirted with 300
degrees. The DrumTurbines equipped wheel never got above 250
degrees, even though it was the curb side wheel, which typically runs
hotter than the driver's side wheel. |
Phase
II Testing - Line Chart
The second phase of testing saw an ambient air temperature that was lower
than the first temperature, which made for lower temperatures over
all. However, during this test the average temperature reduction was
actually greater than in the first test, showing that DrumTurbines do not
only work when the ambient air is extremely high. The line chart
format works well to display how consistently DrumTurbines lower the
temperature on the wheel throughout the course of vehicle operation. |
