When
we asked Tim Evancho of Home Run about his experience with
BrakeTurbines he responded with a list of ways in which they
improved his brake and wheel end performance.
- We have seen an increase in
brake life of 40 – 60 percent since installing BrakeTurbines.
- Brakes equipped with
BrakeTurbines run
cooler.
- In the drums with the part
installed we have virtually eliminated
brake dust and material build up.
- Brakes still wear out with
BrakeTurbines on, but they wear evenly without all the heat cracks.
- We have had fewer
wheel seal failures, something I attribute to less heat.
- We
replaced drums every brake job before BrakeTurbines and now we
average two to three brake jobs before we have to replace brake
drums, even using metallic friction material.
