Waste

BrakeTurbines can help put a stop to high brake costs and heat related problems.
Tough Job
As any one who works on waste trucks can tell you, the vehicles that pick up the trash take as much punishment as anything on the road.   The heavy load and the constant starting and stopping is hard on a truck.  It is especially hard on the brakes of a truck and this is hard on the people who have to maintain them.  BrakeTurbines make it easier.

Brake life is affected by use first of all, and there is nothing we can do that will affect that, but it is also affected significantly by heat and debris in the drum and there is something that can be done about that.  As you're aware brake life is lowered by heat, but you may not realize by how much.  Studies by a leading brake manufacturer show that a 100 degree increase above normal operating temperatures doubles brake wear.

If that wasn't enough of a problem, the heat generated by brakes damages everything that surrounds them, causing problems ranging from brake squeal to blown tires.  What is the solution to heat and debris?

BrakeTurbines provide an innovative solution to the problem.   A turbine that attaches easily in between the drum and the friction material.   Using the same principle that drives a jet engine, BrakeTurbines force a tremendous stream of cooling air through the drum, driving out the heat.  The chart on the left shows how effectively they reduce temperature.  All this from a part that requires no power or maintenance.  Much more information about how BrakeTurbines accomplish proven results is available through the link below.
