Webb's BTS drum is the answer for applications where managers want to increase the life and performance of their brakes.  The combination of heat dissipating ribs and vents with an optimized environment for BrakeTurbines cooling, cleaning action means that this system performs like not other to improve brake life and performance.

BrakeTurbines Optimized Drum
In an optimized drum the air collected by BrakeTurbines’ louvers blows hot air and brake dust directly out of the drum or forces it out in between the drum and friction material.

Non Certified Drum
The illustration shows what can happen when the transition from the hub to the brake surface flat is not certified.  BrakeTurbines still perform, just not as well.
